*Wells (0) 191 lost to Huish and Langport (3) 332

Away team writes “Huish lost the toss and put in to bat made 332 without losing a wicket. Extras made half the runs although arguably Huish would have made the same sort of score with more accurate bowling as when it was there to hit the more experienced U11's found the boundary.....Rufus Williams -Pritchard top scored 24 n/o.........A wicket from Sam Holland [2-0-11-2 ]with the very first ball set the tone for the Wells innings [191-12 ]which never got above 219. Some good fielding in particular from wicket keeper Jonathan Larkins and James Brace resulted in all but one catch being taken and two run outs. ....Charlotte [Lottie] Maple 3-1-6-2....Rufus Williams Pritchard 3-1-4-1....Pick of the bowlers with yet another peerless performance Ged Williams-Pritchard 3-1-3-4!”

Huish and Langport (2) 267 tied with Street (2) 267

Home team writes “Huish lost the toss and put in to bat 267-6.....A wicket [bowled] with the first ball set the tone as the opening pair were out 4 times including 2 good catches and a run out....Rufus Williams- Pritchard 29 n/o well supported by wktk Jonathan Larkins rescued the innings taking the score on from 225 with some good running and very good batting from Rufus including five 4's and a 6.........In reply Ged Williams-Pritchard was brilliant at one end [3-1-3-3] while Huish gave away runs at the other. Alert wicket keeping from Jonathan [inc 1 stumping and a run out] kept things tight and the scores were all square after the 14th over. With the score moving on to 273 after the 15th Rufus delivered a rapid wicket maiden to bring Street back to ....267-7. ....A well fought match with plenty of good batting and bowling from both sides. A crowd pleasing finish and a fair result to a match neither team deserved to lose!”

Glastonbury (1) v Shapwick and Polden (1) Abandoned

Middlezoy (0) 250 lost to Huish and Langport (3) 259

Away team writes “Huish batting first in damp conditions got off to a decent start with the sides top score going to Ged Williams Pritchard [23 net 11] although he lost his wicket twice. The last dismissal to a good catch having chased a 'wide' after hitting the previous ball for six! Huish finished on 259-5....In reply Middlezoy's openers batted well against some determined and exceptional bowling from Ged Williams-Pritchard 3-2-1-2 [W]....Middlezoy's 250-5 tells it's own story of a closely fought game by two well matched sides.....”
