Home team writes “Huish winning the toss put North Newton in to bat and got off to a brilliant start with 3 wicket maidens and a maiden from the first 4 overs. Huish only giving 12 wides and three byes in the game kept the pressure on taking 10 wickets in the innings three of them from run outs.........Best bowling Adam Barrett-James 4-2-3-4 [w]........In reply Huish produced another disciplined batting performance not loosing a single wicket and building a solid platform of 304 for the first three pairs with some great shots and excellent running between the wickets. Will Godsafe 23. The last pair of Ben Richardson [34] and Joe Martin [21] taking the score to 380 and while extras did make a big contribution they also reduced the scoring opportunities for many of the Huish batters.........North Newton never stopped trying and played the game in a great spirit in the face of a rampant Huish side.....”
